Description
MedX Rehab Cold Laser Console 1100 System
Photobiomodulation (PBM) is an effective, non-invasive, drug-free solution that has no known side effects. It has been used as a means for reducing pain and speeding healing for over 30 years. MedX PBM stimulates the body’s natural repair processes at the cellular level.
There are a number of benefits to using MedX PBM over other electro modalities. It is more efficient – no messy conduction mediums and time consuming setups – and more than one site can be treated at the same time. Patients are comfortable during treatments and more likely to complete a series of treatments, benefiting from the accumulative effects of light. Patients can be treated with contraindications for other modalities, such as circulation and nerve impairments, pacemakers and joint implants.
PAIN MANAGEMENT – A DRUG-FREE ALTERNATIVE
The compact MedX Console controls & powers both SLD clusters for a larger treatment area. It is easy to use – built-in guidelines prompt you through decisions related to selection of parameters, then automatically calculate and display treatment times. Alternatively, if the treatment parameters are known, the manual mode allows for quick, easy setup. Once activated, the console displays the time and energy delivered for each port separately and automatically turns itself off once treatment is completed. Multiple sites can be treated at the same time.
MedX accessories include a Rehab Handheld Laser and hands-free SLD Clusters. Three accessory ports provide the flexibility to use any combination of accessories with either continuous or pulsed mode.
Rehab Tethered Handheld Laser
The MedX tethered handheld laser is an ergonomically designed accessory that is powered by the MedX Console. This laser provides a total of 450 mW of power with three GaAlAs laser diodes and a visible guide light.
The accessory is programmed through the console and has an ON/OFF switch on the accessory handle. This allows the laser to be activated and reactivated separately from the SLD clusters.
SLD CLUSTERS PROVIDE TREATMENT OVER A WIDER AREA
The large area superluminous diodes (SLD) cluster provides energy with a combination of predominantly infrared (870 nm) and visible red (633nm) diodes to provide an even distribution of light energy over the entire area.
Two clusters can be strapped-on for hands free application, allowing unattended treatment. Throughout treatment, the console displays the remaining time and energy delivered and once complete, the clusters automatically turn off.
